The Black Inc SIXTY is our unapologetically pro deep dish wheelset that offers the level of comfort and handling confidence that makes it fast and practical for amateurs, as well. Optimised for crosswind stability and rider comfort, the SIXTYs are ideal for paved or unpaved surfaces, punching up the hills or hammering on the flats.
The 56mm rim depth combines with our proprietary rim shape to slice through the wind, but truly shines in heavy cross winds, which would normally batter about a wheelset of this depth. The wider rim profile contributes to the overall aero performance of the SIXTYs, especially when paired with the wider tires that are more comfortable, offer lower rolling resistance, and provide increased grip when cornering. With an internal rim width of 21mm and an external of 30mm, the SIXTY rims pair perfectly with 25mm or wider tires.
Available in disc brake and rim brake, tubular and clincher/tubeless options, the Black Inc SIXTY are ideal for all riders whether they gravitate towards mixed-terrain routes or focus on being the fastest in every local road race. For the rim brake option, a proprietary textured brake track combined with Black Inc’s essential braking pads enhances braking performance in both dry and wet conditions. The SIXTY’s exceptional stiffness in all configurations enhances not only the acceleration but also overall handling. Whether descending a Tour de France col or slicing through a 90° corner in a criterium, the SIXTYs instill confidence and encourage aggressive riding.
The SIXTY wheelset is available with Shimano, XDR and Campagnolo freehub body. The straight-pull rim and disc hubsets work easily with the SAPIM CX-SPRINT and CX-RAY Aero Butted straight pull spokes. To keep the weight as low as possible, the clincher versions use internal alloy nipples while the tubulars have external alloy nipples for ease of maintenance. All tubeless ready clincher wheels from Black Inc come pre-installed with the required valve stems and rim tape.
