The Basso Palta III SRAM Force XPLR AXS is a premium carbon gravel bike designed to combine speed, control and versatility across fast gravel, technical terrain and long-distance adventures.
Now in its third generation, the Basso Palta III features a lighter and more aerodynamic carbon frameset, refined handling and increased tyre clearance. Equipped with SRAM Force XPLR AXS electronic shifting and Zipp 303 XPLR carbon wheels, this build is ready for high-performance gravel riding and racing.
The Palta III uses an advanced blend of Torayca T800, M40JB and T700 carbon fibres to balance low weight, stiffness and durability.
Basso claims a frame weight of approximately 970 g in size M, paired with a carbon fork weighing around 370 g. A reinforced downtube provides additional protection against impacts from rocks and debris when riding off-road.
The SRAM Force XPLR AXS drivetrain delivers fast and precise wireless electronic shifting with gearing developed specifically for gravel.
Its dedicated 1x configuration combines simplicity, chain security and a wide gear range, making it well suited to everything from fast gravel roads to steep and technical climbs.
SRAM hydraulic disc brakes provide powerful, controlled braking and excellent modulation across changing surfaces and conditions.
This Palta III is equipped with Zipp 303 XPLR carbon wheels, developed specifically around the demands of modern gravel riding.
Their wide carbon rim profile is optimised for high-volume gravel tyres, helping improve stability, aerodynamic efficiency and control while allowing lower tyre pressures for increased grip and comfort.
